Bromley Hall Move-In Instructions

Please review these instructions with everyone traveling with you before arriving at Bromley Hall.

Arrive at Your Assigned Move-In Time

Please arrive at Bromley Hall at your assigned time and complete unloading within your designated 30-minute window. Following your assigned time helps us manage traffic, elevator use, and the limited unloading spaces behind the building.

Due to ongoing construction and limited parking, residents will not be permitted to move in outside their assigned time slot. Roommates have been assigned the same 30-minute window so they can coordinate their arrival and move in together.

One vehicle per student · No trailers · No box trucks

Additional vehicles, trailers, and box trucks will not be permitted in the unloading area behind Bromley Hall and must use an alternative parking location.

Park and Unload

Pull into one of the designated temporary unloading spaces behind Bromley Hall.

A licensed driver must remain with the vehicle at all times.

Unload your belongings as quickly as possible.
Place your items into a Bromley Hall moving cart, if one is available.
Once unloading is complete, the driver must immediately move the vehicle to long-term parking or an available metered space.
Vehicles cannot remain in the unloading area while belongings are taken to the resident’s room.

Check In and Pick Up Your Key

The resident should enter Bromley Hall and proceed to the main lobby to complete check-in and pick up their room key.

The resident must be present to complete check-in.
Additional move-in information will be provided in the lobby.
Moving carts will be distributed from the lobby as they become available.

Move Belongings to Your Room

While the driver moves the vehicle, the remaining family members may begin taking belongings to the resident’s room.

Unload all belongings from the moving cart into the room.
Return the moving cart to the lobby as quickly as possible.
Carts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Families are encouraged to bring their own folding cart or moving dolly.
Once the vehicle has been moved and the Bromley cart has been returned, you may organize and decorate the room.

How to Sign Up at Bromley

All applications are accepted in the order that they are received, so apply now before it is too late!

TIP: You can submit your housing application at Bromley Hall before receiving your official acceptance to the University! If you are not accepted to the University, you can cancel your Bromley contract without penalty, less the nonrefundable application fee.

How to Apply to live at Bromley

APPLY NOW

First, you will need to access our online Application Portal to begin your application. Follow the steps below to ensure your application is complete.

Register an account or log in if you have already created one to begin an application.
Fill out your personal information.
Please make sure to fill out the STUDENT’S personal information because they are the contract holder.
Parents, your information will be entered as the Guarantor.
Complete your roommate profile questions.
Select your meal plan.
TIP: Meal plans can be changed up until the first day of classes. You can change them in the portal,
even after you complete your contract, up until April 15th. After that, you will need to email our
Business Office.
Select your 1st and 2nd room type preferences. See Room Type Descriptions here.
Your room type selection can not be changed in the portal after you have completed this step in the
application process. If you would like to make changes to your preferences after you have already
completed this step, you will need to email our Business Office. Room type requests will be
accommodated on availability.
Find a roommate.
You can search for a screen name in our portal, filter your results based on profile question answers, or see
a list of suggested roommates that would be a good match with you. Check out the Application
Walkthrough YouTube video for more details. TIP: You do NOT have to select a roommate to complete the contract. You can come back and find a
roommate anytime in the Portal until June 15. Also, remember that you will only be able to match
with roommates that have the SAME room type preference.

YOUR APPLICATION IS COMPLETE! CONGRATS!

After you apply what happens next.

After you submit your contract in the portal, our Business Office will email you within 10 business days to confirm your contract, based on room availability. Room Assignments will be sent out to your University Email address by late July. (Residents have until June 15 to confirm roommate/suitemate requests).

MEAL PLANS

Meal plans can be changed up until the first day of classes. You can change your meal plan in the portal until April 15. After that, you can email our Business Office at info@bromleyhall.com.

ROOM PREFERENCES

Room preferences cannot be changed in the portal after you submit your contract. Requests to change your room preferences can be emailed to info@bromleyhall.com. Our Business Office will accommodate any changes where possible depending on availability.

ROOMMATE SELECTION

You are able to go back into the portal and modify your roommate selection at any time until June 15. All roommate requests must be confirmed in the portal by this date.

SUITEMATE REQUESTS

To request a suitemate, please email our office at info@bromleyhall.com as suitemate requests cannot be made in the portal. All suitemate requests must be mutually confirmed via email by June 15. Our Business Office will accommodate all requests where possible but requests cannot be guaranteed.

Move-In Information & What to Expect

Move-In

For our 2026/27 Fall Move-In, Bromley Hall will have a multi-day assigned move-in process. All residents will be assigned a move-in time from Monday August 17th – Thursday, August 20th to maintain an efficient move-in traffic flow in the building. Assigned times will be included with your room assignment at the end of July. Residents who are unable to move in at their assigned move-in time can complete the Alternate Move-In Request Form, which will be sent out with room assignments near the end of July.

Dining

Bromley dining services will begin on Monday, August 17th for ANY TWO MEALS. Students will be able to choose 2 meals with the options of breakfast, lunch,
and dinner.

Parking

During your assigned move-in time, you will have a 30-minutes (thirty minutes) window to park and unload your belongings. Once you have finished unloading, please promptly move your vehicle to a metered space or other available parking to help keep the Unloading area clear for others.
